Debbie has a wonderful new challenge for us this week over at The Shabby Tea Room. She asks that we create a card/project using:
*COLOURS in the photo
* BUTTONS
I
loved the mittens in the photo and decided to try my hand at making one
for my hot chocolate/biscotti gift set. Loving the mint green!
Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps
and I've used the Winter Circle Sentiments- Warm Wishes digital stamp.
Play along and you could win 7 digital images! Seems a fitting
sentiment as the temps here have been close to -40C with the windchill
here in the North. Love those extra large chandelier drops!
Some
hot chocolate mix and marshmallows plus a biscotti would make a great
gift to ward off the cold.. Why don't you grab a cup and join me in
seeing what the other Shabby Girls have created this week:
Debbie- Deb's Simple Treasures
Lenet- To Scrap or Not to Scrap
Rebecca- Paper Primrose
Tracey- Trace Elementz
Starr- The Paper Chase
Happy Monday! Hope you'll play with us this week!

antique roses...TSTR #149
It's time to get crafty again as we have a new challenge for the week over at The Shabby Tea Room! This week Rebecca is hosting our challenge and she asks that we create a card/project using:
* COLOURS FROM THE PHOTO
* ROSES
* FABRIC/RIBBON
This week our sponsor is Janets Papers (Etsy) and I chose to use Vintage Tickets for my card this week. Since it was mainly monochromatic I added different textures.
Play along with us this week and you could win digital collages from Janet! 3 collages for 1st place, 2 collages for 2nd and 1 collage for 3rd place. I'm off to check out the rest of the DT. Join us!

get crafty...Crafty Secrets Linky Party!
Welcome to the January Linky party for Crafty Secrets!
We hope you will play along with us this week and show us what you can
create using great Crafty Secrets products. You could win a $50 gift
certificate!! This month I was in a Valentine's day mood and chose to
use "CD 1- Creating with Vintage Patterns" to create my hearts banner.
These little hearts are so easy to make. First print out your patterned papers. Cut one inch strips 8 inches long. You will need:
2 x 4 inches long
2 x 6 inches
2 x 8 inches.
First gather all the ends together. Decide which way you want your pattern to show, either on the inside of the heart, or the outside. I've mixed and matched for my banner here. Starting with the 4 inch pieces face the patterns outwards(Blank sides together) repeat on either side of the 4 inch pieces with the 6 and then the 8 inch pieces.Staple the gathered ends together.
Next, starting on one side gather all the uneven ends together. Do the same on the other side and bring all ends together in the middle to form the heart shape, making sure these ends are all even too. Using a mini stapler, staple the ends together and voila! Your heart is formed.. Continue this for as many hearts as you want your banner to be.
Punch holes to run ribbon through to join each heart together. I did this at the top of the largest arch. You could always hot glue each heart together too. Tie each heart to the other to form a strand and finish each end off with a large loop for hanging.
Now the fun begins! Time to embellish your banner. I used some handmade, paper-clay frames and alphabet from CD 3- Creating with Vintage Typography. Flowers and ribbons or what ever you feel like adding.
I just love this banner.. can't wait to hang it up for Valentines Day. All made from the beautiful patterned papers from 'CD 1-Creating with Vintage Patterns'!
Be sure to visit the rest of the Crafty Secrets Girls to see what beautiful projects they have whipped up!
